Shading/Lighting notes
Great work on the eyes, Joel, and everyone who has been helping make the final touches to the project. So I agree with Linden's comments, and would love to touch up as many things as we can. I'm going to make changes to the final shot of animation with the plate, so that can be re-rendered.
Here are my ideal shading and lighting tweaks. The eyes are going in a much better direction with that last pass, Joel. Let's keep pushing it further, as in the third image of the safari (Flashing in and out are the lighting tweaks that would really make this shot pop. More golden rim from the left and above, a little more saturation to a green bounce from lower right.)
Below we can see how needed the eye adjustments are for Pip, so in addition to what you've done so far, we may want some very slight ambient color or incandescence to the eyes to give that subtle scattering effect and help to pop out his pupils. I think that overall we could slightly adjust the levels of the eye diffuse map so that the iris is slightly darker and more saturated, while keeping the white pretty bright. This will really help, as in the dragon/knight notes below. Whatever it takes to get pip to look like the second image in each of these next two examples, let's do it!
And here is my ideal version of the lighting on the knight shot, comparing it to the original, below. It may help the reflections to throw a light blue card off frame screen left and a orange card off screen frame right to get the armor to really pop as I've indicated here.
Thanks!!!
~Joe
Red Eye
Spent some time on Friday working out the issues with the eye shader that were causing the red eye, then threw the shots up on Qube before leaving for the weekend.

Shots a1, a2 and k1 have all been re-rendered to replace the wallpaper. Wallpaper wasn't visible in any other shots that I saw.

Project Done?
I was watching the latest version of the final renders and I noticed that there still is the red eye problem, though it looks toned down a little.
Jungle scene at the end one of the leaves shows up as solid black. Is it supposed to?
It is also stupid to mention this now as well. I noticed the ship's door stays propped open.
Skimming through I noticed the smoke on the bottom fire of the bridge scene looks better, but the top of it dose not dissipate, it leave a strong enough line of it growing. It looks odd to me.
Also, I know I may be poking too much in this now, but I see the table show through the plate when it moves. It dose it about 5-6 times and it instantly caught my attention in the video.

Final Renders
We're super close to having every shot rendered. K2 has decided to have a nervous breakdown, so I've been troubleshooting it and babysitting it for the past two days and it should be done today. After that, we should only need the dragon shot, once animation is finaled.
Due date extended to Tuesday!
Good News! I got us an extension to Tuesday for final delivery of the film. We should still endeavour to get it finished ASAP, in case any issues come up on the final shots.
